Is the last name of pianist Nelson Freire pronounced "Frayree" as per

What I learned as a WFMT announcer was "Fray-aire" (said quickly,

A Brazilian friend pronounces it fre-ir-ray with an accent on the
middle syllable.

OK, now try "Cristina Ortiz." I once heard her name pronounced something
like "Kzhish-CHEE-na AWKH-cheez."

That is a slight correction on the BBC effort, but harder to say. It
is, however, spot on, if you want to be punctilious.
