On the basis of 'naive listening' (without knowing anything about
background and context) I tend to agree with the positive opinions
expressed in the forum (many years ago) about RIccardo Chailly's _Jazz
Album_ (Concertgebouw Orchestra, 1993), _Dance Album_ (Philadelphia
Orchestra 1996), and _Film Album_ (Concertgebouw Orchestra 1999), all
with music by Shostakovich. Good stuff, beautifully played, in excellent
sound. Is it right to call this 'entertaining', 'light' music? I'm not sure.

It's certainly "light" after Bruckner!
