Oh man, I forgot to include Pletnev here... (actually just copied the
stuff from my Beethoven PC thread a while ago without double checking
(did so wrt Mozart PCs)... so add Pletnev in 1-4, but not in 5 I
think...

Fuck the 5th… I don’t need it, just like his 7th symphony — I don’t like
these compositions. Also I don’t like Gould here… best imo is lang
lang/eschenbach…

Nvm... Gould is actually good... maybe better than Lang Lang, but since
I don't like the piece I don't care to figure out... he likely is better
than Lang Lang though...

9 - Celibidache, E. Kleiber and Mengelberg
Correction here: No need the Kleiber Box; both Kleibers suck imo...

Again and again I tried, sometimes I thought it clicked... but no...
they just suck.

Bernstein otoh has grown quite a bit in my estimation it seems...

So it's only Celibidache and Mengelberg in B9. And in Mozart 36 it's
Bernstein, in 33 it's probably Krips...

Maybe I should also ditch Kleiber's nozze and Mitropoulos' DG as well..
the singing might be okay, but the accompaniment just sucks...

Hmmm and I might pick Karajan in Mozart symphony 32 — not really getting
warm with maag anymore, only had affinity for the slow movement in his
take…

Okay… fuck kleiber‘s nozze… overrated beyond measure… but okay, it might
still actually be the third best… ^^ in the face of fricsay‘s and
karajan‘s though I don’t need it… the thing is not only wrt the cast but
also wrt accompaniment the other recordings are much better; fricsay
being the best accompanist.

Still keeping mitropoulos‘ dg though — it’s great

Mozart symphony 32 — outer movements by krips, inner movement by maag…

Okay... I think Imma keep the Östman Mozart Opera recordings... they are
all favorites now... his nozze is far better than Kleiber's (phrasing!)
and maybe also better than Karajan's... but not better than Fricsay's

1 - Celibidache, Mengelberg
argh only Mengelberg here... I was in auto-mode, since I consider both
favorites in many Beethoven Symphonies... I have not yet heard a
Celibidache B1 recording... but apparently there is one on yt, I'll
listen to it in time...

KV 365: Gilels/Gilels
Okay, it's actually Brendel/Klien here - they are the best... screw
Gilels in Mozart. Should probably also look for someone else than
Bashkirov... yeah screw Bashkirov in Mozart.

KV 595: Probably Gilels
Certainly not Gilels...
