Was there a symphony cycle conducted by Segerstam that was issued a few years ago on Brilliant Classics? If so with what orchestra?

Yes - Danish National Symphony Orchestra. 1990-1992 recorded in the Danish National Radio Concert Hall, Copenhagen. Probably my favourite Sibelius set. Well worth having. Very "Nordic", which is how I like it.

Segerstam's Helsinki Philharmonic cycle on Ondine is stronger than the Danish set (originally on Chandos), which is rather mannered, and the slowest Sibelius symphony cycle on record.

I second the recommendation for the Helsinki set.

Segerstam appears to have completed
342 symphonies as of September 2020!

I actually bought a Bis (?) CD of his symphonies a couple of decades ago.
Total waste of time and money.

Thanks. I was going to ask, and you spared me the trouble. Makes one wonder why he bothers?
