According to this Tower Japan article the box also has the recordings leftboutbof the Symphony Edition (duplicate Sym. Fantastique, Prokofiev 5 Japan, Shostakovich 5 for example) and mono RCA recordings.

Isn't there an alternate Beethoven 7th?

http://tower.jp/article/feature_item/2018/06/08/1112

Most likely will be LP shaped box again.

Yes.
I do not, as far the translation engine give information, see any mention of additional remastering. Presumably those remastered for the 100-disc release will have the latest masterings.

Sony appears to have corrected the issue.

Don't know.

I am supposed to receive mine from Amazon.de ($95 incl. $S&H) tomorrow. Will let everyone know then if the additional discs are included.

Mine came late last week from Amazon/UK with the 2CDs sealed in a new cellophane wrap around the one originally put on the big box.

My set from Amazon.de also had the 2-cd bonus set, in a second layer of shrinkwrap underneath the box proper. The 7th symphony from 1958 is very nice, though many of the repeats are skipped, unlike the 1964 version. Still glad to have it.

Factoid of possible interest to a few re the additional 1958 Beethoven 7th. The best currently-available release is on the 2010 DSD-remastered Sony Originals CD coupled with the Beethoven 5th. It sounds terrific. The box set's supplemental 7th has the 7th spread over an entire CD and there's nothing I could see to indicate that it might be the 2010 mastering.
