millionrainbows - who I consider to be an idiot - says the following:

"His [Scriabin's] intense interest in Madame Blavatsky's philosophy
shows that he was inexorably drawn to the unconscious, the
non-ego-driven, the animus, the dark side of the moon."

.. Like ffs... The unconscious is always related to the ego... is he
stupid or what?

So... if someone has a fragile ego - like Herman or Dan; or Holger
Kaletha in the tamino forum - their subconsciousness protects them from
criticism... so they are unable to reflect and instead (mostly) project
their own failings on others... "defense mechanisms -- Anna Freud"...
