Another fav Mozart opera recordings update

So yeah, I really don‘t like Gedda, Rothenberger or Prey. Berry and Popp
are okay. This makes me dismiss Krips‘ Warner Serail as well Suitner‘s
nozze.

Which brings me to my fav Mozart opera recordings:

Okay so I prefer Fricsay‘s Serail over Beecham‘s… I really feel Simoneau
to be a Bit too light for belmonte (i guess i also prefer the female
singers on Fricsay’s Recording); he‘s good as Don Ottavio though… don’t
need beechams serail…

more, but i think im Not really Convinced by him… especially compared to
ghiaurov — like Siepi seems a Bit dry maybe, ghiaurov very colorful

Maazel‘s DG is actually quite nice, but teresa berganza is horrible, and

Sorted out about 90% of the Shit I bought last year… honestly this
Experience makes me hesistant to buy new recordings, like i need time to
get to know a piece, the different recordings of it etc…

hes also seductive… but ghiaurov for me is Like untouchable as the Don…
although I guess Fischer-Dieskau‘s portrayal Works as well…

it‘s charming, but Not much more than that… nothing really Special…

I think im going to keep Klemperer’s Zauberflöte for specific Moments
(Bei Männern welche Liebe fühlen for example) — tue Problem for me is,
his Zauberflöte is Not fully satisfying… Fricsay’s is… Sawallisch im Not
sure about as of yet…

So Östman‘s cosi is going to stay (not a Great Fan of the hip-approach,
but the singing is very good, and there are things that seem to have
been cut by Böhm (Sani e Salvi) — Kind of interesting how this hip
Recording is actually one of the Best cosis…)

Furthermore Böhm‘s Serail has been added, as well as Maazel‘s DG and
Sawallisch‘s Zauberflöte (Warner)…

There Are things Raimondi does that I don‘t really like and I guess his
Voice doesn’t have the volume… Fi-Di doesNT have it as well, and really
he fucking barks too much here… Both are more colorful than Siepi
though, sure he has the volume, but he is really fucking stiff and
Monotonous…

to be a deeper voice… I don’t like terfel as well (seems like a Similar
portrayal as Fi-Di… and I like Fi-Di‘s Voice more…) Thomas allen seems
wooden and stiff…

Only Ghiaurov for me (can’t remember him in giulinis Recording)…

And second Choice would likely be Fricsay’s…

God is Kmentt awful btw… so no need for Fricsay‘s Idomeneo…

gardiner‘s - Even though I have Problems with the Idomeneo (Rolfe
Johnson) - is actually the best…

musically quite good actually I guess…

And Owen was not wrong — after relistening to bits of Branagh‘s
Zauberflöte — singing doesnt seem Bad… but theres a whole lot missing it
feels, seems bland… so screw it i guess
